Today, I'm launching the first iteration of my personal website. It has been a refreshing exercise in HTML and learning about domain hosting. Hopefully this will be a good supplement to any resumes I send in the coming weeks. Thank you for supporting me and my work!

Launching the socials at nonprofit
In December, I accepted a new role at Free Geek. I will be fortifying the team responsible for the intake of new donations - from the smallest handful of cords to nearly-full semi trucks and trailers. In the down time, I will be brainstorming, producing, and posting content as the organization's social media manager. I'm beyond excited for the strenuous physical workouts of handling the heavy cabinet speakers, for the sense of relief flooding from donation clients realizing their tech will be handled responsibly and ethically, and most especially to let my creativity and photo/video expertise shine on our Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Bluesky, and Twitch platforms! I want to shine a spotlight on the amazing work being done by my nonprofit and entice others to visit to volunteer or shop in the thrift store. "This begs the question, what can a social media marketing strategy look like for an uncoventional nonprofit? My Director has advised me to "embrace the personality" while letting my own voice shine through. The objective is to spread the mission of Free Geek to translate sets of eyes on the media platforms to sets of feet in the door. A lot of companies struggle to get the follower count off the ground, but I'm optimistic that the 3,000+ member discord will start the mommentum rolling. I plan to produce a 8-minute flagship YouTube video over the coming months and beginning planning on a weekly Twitch game-show style production. These big projects will be supplement by easily consumable content on Facebook, Instagram, and Bluesky - as well as a monthly newsletter to our email chain. I can't wait to dig in; keep an eye out on our website!
